Description |
This online, graduate-level course begins with an evaluation of the non-Christian, non-canonical Christian, and canonical Christian sources for the ministry and teaching of Jesus. It then provides an historical overview of both the Christian and Jewish interpreters of Jesus, concluding with the New Age Jesus and the Jesus Seminar. With this background, the student is prepared for a detailed study of the 4 New Testament Gospels. The focus is on the relevance of Jesus' ministry and teachings for the first century and our time. |
