Description |
The contemporary world presents a tremendous challenge to anyone considering ministry in the local church. The Pastoral Emphasis enables the student to begin to understand the world and God’s people, and relate the Word of Truth to both as pastoral staff in a local church.
Objectives
Upon completing the Pastoral Studies Emphasis, the student will be able to:
• Demonstrate an ability to counsel, guide, and help others with their spiritual problems.
• Develop and deliver expository messages that are accurate, clear, interesting, and relevant to everyday living.
• Give evidence of a general knowledge of leadership principles, church organization, and administration.
• Demonstrate an awareness of principles of communication to different age levels.
• Minister as pastoral staff in the local church. |
