Description |
The Certificate of Theological Studies is a 30 credit hour program for persons not seeking employment in professional ministry. The certificate offers the student a working understanding of the Christian faith and its integration into the world.
General Goals of Theological Education
• Individuals understand theology from a biblical, historical, and systematic perspective such that they effectively communicate the meaning and relevance of the biblical story line.
• Individuals reflect biblically and theologically on cultural, moral, ethical, and ministry practice issues.
• Individuals are consistently engaged in spiritual formation on both personal and communal levels.
• Individuals exhibit a commitment to serving in leadership and care positions in church or parachurch organizations.
• Individuals exhibit a missional commitment, engaging the workplace, neighbourhoods, and social structures in ways that create a redemptive presence and invite others to faith in Christ. |
